Thank you Mr. Glen Black for taking our Storytime for a Bus Ride and talking about Bus Safety. We got to go all around town. When we came back we had our Circle Time and sang “THE WHEELS ON THE BUS” of course!
The Albion Area Public Library recently received a generous grant from the Rees Foundation! We were able to purchase a new main floor display and Children/Adult Programming tables. Both purchases will allow us to better serve our library patrons! Thank you, Elizabeth Rees, for your generous donation!
We will be continuing our “Take and Make” Book Program for 2024!! Look for new bags each month on our FB page.
We are working with several departments at the Northwestern High school to continue our StoryWalk on the nature trail. Our StoryWalk is an ongoing (year-round) activity that the Northwestern High School and Albion Area Public Library are working on together.
Adult Yoga classes are held on certain Saturdays in the Children’s Library at 10 am. Next class- Saturday, April 27th
Check out our FB page for upcoming and ongoing children and adult programs!!
SEED LIBRARY
Come check out our new Seed Library!
What is a seed library? It is a collection of seeds (vegetable, herb, and flower) that patrons are able to borrow in order to plant and grow at home. At the end of the growing season, a portion of the seeds are then returned to the library’s collection.
Why a seed library?
-helps reintroduce patrons to the art of growing food.
-combats hunger insecurity and biodiversity loss.
-encourages experimentation
-a low risk opportunity to try something new
