Children’s Library

The Children’s Section was carved out of the basement of the Albion Library which was once the Bessemer Rest House. What was once the showers for Bessemer Railroad workers is now a bright, cheerful place for local children to read, have story time, and use the catalog computer. Local financial contributions have enabled all of these wonderful advantages for children to use.

Due to Covid-19, children’s story-time will be a little different. A playaway will be on and playing a children’s story on Wednesday mornings and early afternoons. A bagged take home craft will be available on a weekly basis for children and parents to take home and create. All children’s toys and toy areas will be rotated on a daily basis to ensure proper quarantine times. Until further notice, we will not have face-to-face, congregated story-times.
